Kansas Coalition for Accountability

Mission

The Kansas Coalition for Accountability (KSCA) works to hold our elected representatives accountable to their constituents. That means making themselves available to all constituents, and receiving feedback from supporters and detractors alike. All Kansans must have avenues to address their elected officials.

On March 1st, 2025, Senator Roger Marshall held a town hall in Oakley, KS, far away from the major population centers in the state. The event was not widely publicized, but when word got out, Kansans from every corner of the state traveled to question their Senator. Faced with tough questions from his constituents, Marshall opted to cut the meeting short and refused to answer further questions.

In the aftermath of his retreat, Marshall’s Chief of Staff, Brent Robertson told 12 News in Wichita, without evidence, the town hall was filled with Democratic Party operatives and that “real Kansans” support Trump’s DOGE program.

KSCA believes “Real Kansans” are ranchers in Oakley, and meat packers in Dodge City. Real Kansans are factory workers in Wichita and Wyandotte. Real Kansans are public school teachers in Manhattan and cafe servers in Coffeeville. All Kansans are real Kansans and they want to meet with their elected representatives.

As such we will be holding “Real Kansans” town hall meetings all over the state. We have an open invitation to Senator Marshall and other elected representatives to attend these meetings to answer the questions their constituents have for them. If they choose not to attend and face real Kansans, we will have a panel of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents on hand to give real Kansans the answers they deserve to hear.
